Toronto Weather Watch: September 9

Toronto is bracing for another round of wet weather Wednesday, with Environment Canada forecasting between 10 and 20 millimetres of rain by the evening, along with strong winds and gusts of up to 40 km/h.

The rain comes just one week after a major storm dumped more than 100 millimetres of rain in parts of the GTA, causing widespread flooding and forcing the extended closure of the Don Valley Parkway.

While Wednesday’s system is not expected to be as severe, meteorologists say stronger storms could still develop across parts of central and eastern Ontario.

Toronto is expected to see a humid day, with temperatures reaching 24 C but feeling closer to 32. Conditions are expected to improve Thursday, with sunny skies and a high of 23 C.
