Break-in at Bathurst-area Shul — Stolen Religious Items Recovered, Man Arrested

Toronto Police say a 35-year-old Toronto man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a synagogue in the Bathurst and Lawrence area early Tuesday morning and stealing several religious items.
The following day, police executed a search warrant at a residence near Lawrence Avenue West and Englemount Avenue, where all of the stolen religious items were recovered.
Kayce Ranger, 35, has been charged with Break and Enter as well as Failing to Comply with a Release Order.
The latter charge indicates that Ranger was already subject to a court-imposed release order at the time of the alleged break-in.
Police have not identified the synagogue or specified which religious items were taken.
