End-of-summer Grilled Wings

Grilling season is winding down, which means it’s time to get in a few more good BBQ dinners while we can.
And wings? Very underrated.
They’re easy, they cook quickly, and with a good marinade, they’re one of those things everyone keeps reaching for straight off the grill.
Scoop tip: Buy your wings already split. They’re so much easier (and less messy) to eat that way. You can special order them split, or Olive Branch often has them ready to go.
Sweet + Spicy Grilled Wings
You’ll need:
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1–2 Tbsp. sriracha or hot sauce, or a mix of both
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 2 tsp. BBQ sauce
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 A1 frozen ginger cube, or ½ tsp. ground ginger
- Split chicken wings
Make them
Mix all the marinade ingredients together.
Add the wings and toss until they’re well coated. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. If you can get them going earlier in the day, even better.
Heat your grill to medium and grill the wings, turning as needed, until nicely browned, slightly charred and fully cooked through.
That’s it. Add a salad, corn, fries, or whatever else is easy, and dinner is done.
b’kitzur: Get one more good BBQ dinner in before grilling season ends. Buy the wings split for easier eating, get them into the marinade earlier in the day, and by dinner all you have to do is throw them on the grill.
