10 Torontonians Missing After Devastating Floods in Nepal

Ten Torontonians are among those reported missing after catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides along the Nepal-Tibet border.

Ford: It’s Still Lake Ontario

Ontario Premier Doug Ford unveiled a giant “Lake Ontario. Now and Always.” sign on Saturday in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order directing U.S. federal agencies to refer to Lake Ontario as “Lake America.”

Ford said that long before Trump, it was Lake Ontario, and long after Trump it will still be Lake Ontario.

Netanyahu Condemns West Bank Violence

Dozens of masked Israeli settlers attacked homes in the Palestinian village of Qusra on Shabbos, according to witnesses.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned what he called “criminal acts of violence,” saying those responsible were a small group of rioters harming Israel and interfering with the IDF’s work. Israeli security forces seized three vehicles and brought the incident to an end, according to Netanyahu.

IDF Says It Killed Hamas Nukhba Commander and Sniper

The IDF announced Motzai Shabbos that a strike in northern Gaza killed Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, a commander in Hamas’s Nukhba Force, and Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, a Hamas sniper.

According to the IDF, both were involved in supplying weapons to Hamas and had continued working to advance attacks and rebuild Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
